Individual Therapy
Strategies are drawn from a variety of treatment approaches to create the best fit for each client and their goals. I tend to draw from evidence-based treatments such as CBT (cognitive-behavioural therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), DBT (Dialectal Behaviour Therapy) as well as supportive and insight oriented therapy.
Children
Younger children naturally process their experiences, thoughts and feelings through expressive activities. I use play, art, games and stories to support children in expressing their feelings and building coping skills.
Caregivers are an integral part of treatment
Children - expressive therapy - play, art, games, stories - natural ways for children to express and process their feelings and experiences.
Parent Support
Family and/or parenting focused sessions that may include multiple family members or caregivers on their own seeking feedback or strategies to support their children’s psychological, social and emotional needs.
